Prolific Prep sends players to college and the pros every year. The site has to recruit families, impress college coaches and keep up with a season in motion.

Rosters change, games get scored, players commit to colleges. On the old page-builder site every update was a web-dev task, so the site always lagged the season.
A custom site with its own portal.
A design-system theme with a scroll-story homepage and a staff portal where coaches manage rosters, games, box scores, stats, recruiting and alumni. The site renders everything live from that data.
Every player is a page.
Each player gets a profile with stats, film, news and their path from roster to college to pro, plus schema and a sitemap entry. Game days switch on a live scoreboard the staff run from the bench.

Can coaches update a sports website without a developer?
Yes. Prolific's staff manage rosters, games, box scores, stats, recruiting and alumni in a custom portal, and the website renders from that data instantly.
Why give every player their own page?
College coaches and families search players by name. A profile with stats, film, news and Person schema makes each athlete findable, and every new class adds pages to the program's search footprint.
What happens on game day?
The staff score the game from the portal and the public site switches to a live scoreboard that only polls on game days, so it stays fast the rest of the week.
