Industries · Med Spa
Booked consults, loyal clients.
Treatment-menu SEO, paid social, Google Ads and rebooking programs for med spas, built to pass ad-platform health rules and measured by consults booked and treatments sold.
01Overview
Why med spa marketing runs on consults and rebooking
A med spa does not sell one service. It sells a menu: injectables, fillers, lasers, skin treatments, body contouring, hormone and weight programs. Each treatment has its own search demand, its own buyer and its own ad rules. A med spa marketing agency that treats your practice like a single offer will run one generic campaign, attract price shoppers and leave your best treatments invisible.
The economics also differ from insurance-based medicine. Clients pay out of pocket, compare providers carefully and decide over weeks, not hours. The first visit is usually a consult or an entry treatment. The real value comes from the second, fifth and tenth visit. So the plan has two halves of equal weight: win the first consult, then make the rebook automatic.
Where med spas leak revenue
- Consult requests that wait hours for a reply while the client books down the street.
- One "services" page listing twenty treatments, so none of them ranks.
- Ads disapproved for prescription drug names, then rewritten into vague copy that nobody clicks.
- Before-and-after photos posted without written consent or clear context.
- No rebooking system, so clients drift away after their first treatment cycle.
- Discount-led promotions that fill the calendar with one-time bargain hunters.
Our med spa work builds on medical weight loss and aesthetics experience. For Nusbaum Medical Centers, a New Jersey weight loss and aesthetics group, our team has 3,066 pages live, 1,285 search terms ranking on Google and 1,645 tracked inquiries in the past 12 months. Beauty brand work for Marc Anthony True Professional and a national ageLOC campaign for Nu Skin shaped how we sell appearance without overpromising.
02Channels
What a med spa marketing agency should run, channel by channel
Paid social matters more for a med spa than for almost any other medical practice, because many treatments are discovered rather than searched. Search still wins the ready-to-book client. Reviews and your Google profile close the deal. This table is how we decide where your budget goes first.
| Channel | Best for | Med spa watch-outs | What we track |
|---|---|---|---|
| Paid social (Meta) | Discovery for injectables, skin and body treatments, events, new-client offers | 18+ targeting for cosmetic and weight ads, no statements attacking appearance | Consults booked per campaign, show rate |
| Google Ads search | Ready-to-book treatment and "near me" searches | Prescription drug terms restricted in ads, keywords and landing pages | Cost per booked consult by treatment |
| Treatment pages (SEO) | Research searches: cost questions, downtime, results timelines | Substantiated claims only, provider credentials visible | Rankings and inquiries per treatment |
| Google Business Profile | Maps searches, reviews, photos | Services listed by treatment, accurate hours | Calls, website clicks, direction requests |
| Reviews | Trust at the compare step | No incentives or gating, privacy-safe replies | New reviews per month, rating trend |
| Email and text | Rebooking, memberships, launches of new treatments | Consent for texts, no clinical details in subject lines | Rebook rate, membership retention |
| Influencers and creators | Reach with a specific local audience | Clear disclosure of paid relationships, same claim rules as your ads | Tracked bookings per creator |

Paid social is where most med spas find new clients. We build campaigns per treatment, write creative that shows the experience and the provider rather than shaming anyone's body, and send every ad to a dedicated landing page with a short consult form. For Meta-specific strategy, see our Facebook ads agency page.
Google Ads catches the client who already knows what they want. Campaigns are split by treatment, budgets follow booked consults and ad copy is written to pass health policy review from the start. Meanwhile local SEO and Google Business Profile work puts you in the map pack for each treatment. Our Google Business Profile optimization guide shows the exact fields we fill.
Retention closes the loop. Email marketing runs rebooking reminders timed to each treatment's cycle, membership renewals and quiet launches of new services to existing clients first. Call tracking shows which campaign made the phone ring, so you stop paying for the ones that only produce likes. Our med spa marketing playbook goes deeper on each tactic.
03Why Unified
Why med spas choose Unified.
A med spa marketing agency should know medicine and beauty marketing. Our team has done both.
Aesthetics and weight loss proof
For Nusbaum Medical Centers, a weight loss and aesthetics group, our team has 3,066 pages live and 1,645 tracked inquiries in the past 12 months. That is the same treatment-page and tracking system we bring to your med spa.
Ads that clear review
We write Meta and Google campaigns around the cosmetic and prescription drug rules from day one. Fewer disapprovals means campaigns launch on schedule and your budget goes to clients instead of appeals.
Rebooking built in
Every plan includes rebooking reminders and membership programs timed to each treatment's cycle. New clients are expensive. Keeping them is where med spa margins come from.
One senior team
Strategy, creative, video, hand-coded sites, SEO, ads and analytics under one roof since 2006, with more than 1,100 businesses served. The specialists who plan your campaigns also run them.
04Compliance
Ad rules, claims and before-and-after photos
Med spas sit where cosmetic marketing meets medicine, so they get the strictest version of both. This is not legal advice, and your medical director and state rules come first. It is the checklist we use so campaigns launch on time instead of stalling in review.
Meta cosmetic and weight loss rules
Meta's advertising standard for cosmetic procedures and wellness requires ads for cosmetic procedures and for weight loss products to target people 18 and older. It allows before-and-after imagery for general cosmetic procedures, asks weight loss ads to show the time it took to see results, and bans statements that attack someone's appearance or body parts. Ads that pinch fat or zoom in on a body area get rejected.
Prescription drug names in Google Ads
Google's Healthcare and medicines policy restricts prescription drug terms in ads, landing pages and keywords, and the rules vary by country. Brand names of injectable neurotoxins and weight loss medications are prescription drugs, so using them in ads can lead to disapprovals. We build around treatment descriptions and the problems clients want solved, and keep brand names where they are allowed.
Compounded medications and health claims
In September 2025 the FDA sent warning letters to sellers of compounded weight loss drugs, including one citing a claim of the same active ingredient as brand-name products, because compounded drugs are not FDA-approved. The FTC's Health Products Compliance Guidance expects health claims to be backed by competent and reliable scientific evidence. Our rule: no result promises, no implied FDA approval, and every claim on the page is one your medical director can defend.
Reviews, photos and tracking
- Use client photos only with written consent that covers marketing use, and show realistic results with the treatment and timeframe noted.
- Never pay or discount for reviews. The FTC rule on fake reviews also bans review suppression and undisclosed insider reviews. Our review guide shows the clean way to ask.
- Reply to reviews without confirming someone is a client or naming a treatment. Our reputation management team writes the templates.
- If your practice is a HIPAA covered entity, follow the HHS guidance on online tracking technologies: keep ad pixels off intake and booking confirmation pages unless your compliance lead approves.
0590-day plan
The first 90 days with our med spa marketing agency
We start with speed to lead and the treatment menu, because those two fixes move bookings fastest. New campaigns follow once we can see which treatments your market wants and how quickly your team answers.
| Window | What we do | What you see |
|---|---|---|
| Days 1 to 15 | Response-time test on calls and forms, tracking on every number and form, ad account and policy review, treatment menu priorities set with you | A ranked list of leaks and the three treatments to push first |
| Days 16 to 45 | Pages for priority treatments, consult landing pages, Meta and Google campaigns per treatment, opt-in review flow | First booked consults by treatment in the report |
| Days 46 to 75 | Rebooking reminders and membership emails, more treatment pages, creative refresh based on what booked | Rebook rate and cost per consult trending |
| Days 76 to 90 | Quarter review, budget moved to the treatments that book and rebook, next-quarter launch plan | A plan based on your own numbers |
Everything runs in UnifiedIQ, our own platform. It tracks every call and form back to its source, scores every page for SEO and runs AI agents that suggest work while our strategists direct it. You see consults by treatment and channel in one place.
Speed matters. A client who asks about a treatment is usually comparing several providers at once, and the first one to answer often gets the booking. We measure your real response time in week one and fix it before we spend more on ads.
06Choosing
How to choose a med spa marketing agency: questions and red flags
Med spa owners get pitched by a new med spa marketing agency constantly, usually with promises of a full calendar for a monthly fee. The firms worth hiring answer these questions with specifics about your treatments, your margins and your rules.
Questions to ask
- How will you report consults and treatments booked by campaign, not just leads?
- How do you write ads for neurotoxins and weight loss programs without disapprovals?
- Who checks clinical claims, and does my medical director sign off?
- How do you handle before-and-after photos and client consent?
- What is your plan for rebooking and memberships, not just new clients?
- Do we own the ad accounts, pages, creative and client lists?
Red flags
- Deep-discount offers as the only strategy. They train clients to wait for the next deal.
- Lead counts with no booked or shown consults behind them.
- Ad creative that shames bodies or promises specific results.
- Review schemes that offer a free add-on for five stars.
- "Same as" claims about compounded medications.
- Accounts and audiences built in the agency's name.
What to measure
Consults booked by treatment and channel, consult show rate, cost per booked consult, consult-to-treatment rate, rebook rate within each treatment's cycle and new reviews per month. A med spa marketing agency that reports those six numbers is managing your business, not just your ads. If your practice also runs broader medical services, our healthcare marketing agency page covers the wider HIPAA picture. Ready to compare? Book a strategy call.

10Questions
Med spa marketing questions, answered.
What does a med spa marketing agency do?
It brings in new consults and keeps clients rebooking. That means treatment pages that rank, paid social and Google Ads written to pass health rules, Google Business Profile and review work, fast consult response and rebooking emails. Good agencies report consults and treatments booked, not just clicks or followers.
Can we use neurotoxin brand names in our ads?
Google restricts prescription drug terms in ads, keywords and landing pages, and the rules differ by country, so brand names often cause disapprovals. We build campaigns around treatment descriptions and client goals instead. On your own website, brand names can appear in accurate, educational content your medical director approves.
Are before-and-after photos allowed in ads?
Meta's standard allows before-and-after imagery for general cosmetic procedures, requires 18+ targeting and bans content that attacks appearance. Weight loss ads should show how long results took. On every platform, get written client consent for marketing use and present results realistically.
Should we run discounts to get new clients?
Sparingly. Deep discounts attract one-time bargain hunters and train regulars to wait for the next deal. We prefer first-visit offers on entry treatments, packages and memberships that reward coming back, and launches to existing clients first.
How fast will we see booked consults?
Paid social and Google Ads can book consults within weeks once landing pages and tracking are live. Rebooking emails can lift the schedule in the first month. Organic rankings for competitive treatments usually take three to six months to move meaningfully.
Do you work with medical weight loss programs?
Yes. Our team's work for Nusbaum Medical Centers covers medical weight loss and aesthetics. Weight loss marketing needs extra care with claims, compounded medication language and Meta's weight loss rules, and we build those limits into every campaign from the start.
Who owns the accounts and creative?
You do, and that should be true with any med spa marketing agency. Your ad accounts, pages, Google Business Profile, client lists and the creative we make for you belong to your practice. We work inside accounts you own, so nothing is held hostage if you ever leave.
